Want to spend more of your time seeing patients? My name is Speck and I’m here to help.

Full-Service Support

Add me to your team for billing, technical support, and/or practice management. I can be a trusted go-to source acting on your behalf so you can enjoy more time with patients, family and friends.

Experience & Focus

Insurance Billing

As part of your team, I’ll make sure claims are correct and fight to make sure they get paid. You’ll pay far less than you would for companies that take a percentage of your income.

Bookkeeping

Don’t be caught off guard when tax time comes. Let me keep an eye on your cash flow, track expense, generate reports, create 1099s, and prepare your taxes (Schedule C).

Credentialing

Want to start taking insurance or expand your networks? I’ll handle the complex process for you and guide you through the contracts. I’ve credentialed providers for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance in Georgia.

FAQ

Pricing and Payments

How much do you charge?

$25/hr for ongoing clients. I may charge more for one-off contracts depending on the nature of the work.

Do you have an introductory rate?

Yes. For clients intending to work with me long-term, I charge $20/hr for the first three months. There’s often extra work at the start to streamline workflows and correct existing issues. This discounted rate gives you a break on those hours and time to evaluate our arrangement.

Do you have a minimum number of hours?

No, I charge in 5-minute increments.

How would I pay you?

I send invoices twice a month listing completed tasks and time spent on each. I prefer payment via Zelle or check but can accept credit cards if you’re willing to cover processing fees.

HIPAA and Security

How do you keep patient information safe and stay HIPAA compliant?

We can use Google Drive for document storage and file transfers. They are HIPAA compliant and I have BAA signed with them. I also have BAAs with all other online services that connect to patient care.

I work on encrypted systems protected by strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and/or biometrics.

I will also sign a BAA with you.

How do you keep my information safe?

Part of helping you with your practice means having access to some of your digital accounts and setting up new accounts. I keep the login credentials for these in a password manager (Bitwarden) and secure them with a long passphrase and hardware security key. I share these logins with you in a monthly encrypted backup file.

Communications

How would we stay in touch?

I’m happy to adapt to your preferred communications style. Some clients do everything via text or email, while others regular meetings to stay on top of everything. I use task management software and can include you in that system.

What is your response time?

For non-urgent matters, I will respond within one business day. For urgent issues, I can usually get back to you within 2 hours.

Can you meet in person?

Yesm I’m happy to. I bill 50% of my hourly rate for travel time after the first 30 minutes.

Legal

Is your business insured?

Yes. I carry $250k of Errors and Omissions insurance.

Do you require a contract?

Not usually. I bill every two weeks and will continue to work as long as my invoices are paid. However, I’m happy to draft a contract if you prefer. I will, of course, sign a BAA with you for HIPAA compliance.

How is your business structured.

I am the sole owner of Speck Healthcare Support LLC, licensed to operate in Clayton County, GA.
